Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of leadership and work environment on employee performance through job satisfaction at the Badung Regency Regional Secretariat. The population of this study were all employees at the Badung Regency Regional Secretariat. Respondents were determined using the census method with 63 people. The research analysis technique is to test the research hypothesis using `path analysis'. The results of the analysis show that 1) Leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; 2) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; 3) Leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 4) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 5) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 6) Job satisfaction cannot be used as an intervening variable in the relationship between leadership and employee performance at the Badung Regency Regional Secretariat; 7) Job satisfaction cannot be used as an intervening variable in the relationship between leadership and employee performance at the Badung Regency Regional Secretariat. This research suggests that the leadership of the Badung Regency Regional Secretariat is expected to maintain and improve competence, work discipline and work ethic in an effort to improve employee performance.
