RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION STRATEGY FOR FREELANCE WORKERS IN THE FIELD OF FANLIZA WEDDING ORGANIZER SERVICES: ENGAGEMENT VARIABLE MODERATION

This research aims to analyze the influence of recruitment, selection and involvement on freelance performance at Fanliza wedding organizer. This research uses quantitative methods by collecting data through questionnaires. The research sample was 57 freelance employees of Fanliza wedding organizers. Data analysis was carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) which showed valid and reliable results. The research results show that recruitment has an insignificant positive effect on freelancers, selection has an insignificant positive effect on freelancers, and engagement has an insignificant positive effect on freelancers. Engagement has a significant negative effect on recruitment and is weakened by freelance. Engagement also has an insignificant negative effect on selection and is weakened by freelance. This research concludes that recruitment, selection and engagement have an important role in improving freelance performance. However, the role of engagement needs to be reconsidered because it has a negative influence on recruitment and selection. The suggestion for Fanliza wedding organizers is to improve recruitment, selection and engagement strategies in order to maximize freelance performance and achieve organizational goals.
