Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of increasing production costs on consumer purchasing power on UMKM products. Using production costs as an independent variable, this study uses a questionnaire as a hypothesis testing tool. The criteria for the research sample taken are consumers who have purchased UMKM products before the increase in production costs and after the increase are still shopping, so that the changes can be seen. The data collection method uses simple random sampling, namely the questionnaire is distributed widely and can be filled in by respondents randomly as long as they meet the criteria as a requirement for respondents in this study. The questions in the questionnaire have also passed the validity and reliability test before being distributed to respondents. The data obtained were 30 respondents and then the data was processed using SPSS. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the increase in production costs has a negative effect on people's purchasing power, or it means that the increase in 
production costs results in a decrease in purchasing power, this is in accordance with the research hypothesis.
